What is an Item of Empowerment? (I.O.E.)
An Item of Empowerment is a resource or a piece of equipment that motivates a wheelchair user to embrace their new life, and fulfill their dreams.
Examples of an IOE...
- Need a ramp?
We want to help with the accessibility in and out of your home!
- Wheelchair doesn't fit properly? We've teamed up with some amazing friends to help you get a new chair!
This is Sarah! She has spina bifida and has been in a chair her whole life. When the E.P.I.C. Project heard she had never once worn a pair of jeans, we had to help. She told us she has had trouble finding jeans that fit her body her entire life. With the help of Ability Jeans for Her, we had three pairs of jeans custom made for her! Sarah, we hope these jeans make you feel special and empowered to shine your light!

THE E.P.I.C. PROJECT WANTS TO HEAR YOUR NEEDS...
Are you or someone you know deserving of an Item of Empowerment? We want to hear your story. Tell us about your condition or injury and what item you feel would empower you to live your fullest life. We want to help turn your limitation into an opportunity!
